Town Services

North Brentwood Municipal Center is home to our Town's government offices, a PG County Social Services office, and the Gwendolyn Britt Senior Activity Center. 

First floor:

Town Office (currently closed to public) | Open: Mon/Tue/Thur, 9 am - 1 pm


Lower level:

Social Services (satellite office): | Open: Mon and Thur, 9 am - 12 pm

Gwendolyn Britt Senior Activity Center | Open: Mon - Fri, 9 am - 3 pm

snow & ICE

Removal & Parking 


Town of North Brentwood homeowners must remove sidewalk snow/ice within 24 hours of the end of any weather event.


Please park in your driveway to make way for snowplows.

Cars illegally parked or in stuck in the street will be ticketed and towed.



Disabled residents are given given handicapped parking near their residences.


Strict Maryland laws require you to complete an MVA application, with your physician, to officially reserve a parking space.


North Brentwood needs a current copy of your disability documents on file. Give documentation to the Town every time it is renewed.


Tuesdays & Fridays

At earliest, put trash cans out the night before collection. Tie trash bags and place in cans with lids.

Limit: 4 items per household. Wrap mattresses and box springs in plastic. Appliances (e.g., dryers) are not picked up. Residents are responsible for disposal.

Please maintain your yard. Trim branches, etc. into 2-3 foot bundles. Place in large yard waste paper bags.

Leaves must be secured in paper bags. Plastic leaf bags will not be picked up. 


Pickup: Fridays

Use bins only. For recycling bins, call the Town Office. The county will not accept: items with food traces, plastic bags, or Styrofoam (containers, cups, packing peanuts).

Plastic bags can be recycled using grocery store drop-offs.


All must comply, otherwise recycling won't be picked up!

Smoke, Fire & CO

By law, every PG County residence must have a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector on each level of the home. For a free Fire Safety Inspection, and a free smoke alarm, call 311 from 7 am to 7 pm.

Home & Business

The Town issues permits for Building / Property Alteration, as well as Business Licenses.


By appointment: Tuesday or Thursdays, 9 am - 12 pm

The Little Free Tree House Library contributes to our literacy-friendly community.


Borrow a book. In exchange, put in a book (or several) to share. Books for all ages, but nothing inappropriate.


Return the book when you’ve finished. Our goal is to keep the library stocked with old, new and classic books!
