North Brentwood Park is a clean, safe gathering place for families. It features a playground, basketball court, open field, pavilion, grills, and picnic seating.

Windom Road
Barrier Park

Windom Road at 39th Street

​

In the 1950s, a corrugated metal crash barrier was installed at Windom Road and 39th Street, to delineate the municipal boundary between Brentwood and North Brentwood. One of the highlights of the Town's 2024 anniversary was the opening of Windom Road Barrier Park and the sculpture that replaced the barrier. > Learn more

Anacostia Trails Heritage Area

Anacostia Trails Heritage Area is one of 13 Certified Heritage Areas in Maryland.

 

The Area consists of 100-plus    square miles of northern PG County and parts of – DC, Montgomery, Howard and Anne Arundel Counties. Anacostia Tributary Trail System has a network of bike and water trails.

Wed - Thur: 10 am - 8 pm

Fri - Sat: 10 am - 6 pm

Sun: 12 pm - 5 pm

North Brentwood Memorial Garden

This peaceful spaces with trees and benches was dedicated as a memorial garden in 2007. Citizens gather here each  Memorial Day to honor veterans from our Town/across the US.

Brentwood Levee Trail

Begins: Webster Street

Ends: Rhode Island Ave/Rte 1

This .9 mile paved trail, in nearby Brentwood, follows a levee along the Anacostia River.

 

Cross the river at 38th St. to connect to Northwest Branch Trail. No trail-head parking. Park in Hyattsville's 38th Ave. neighborhood (5004 MD-208); walk 38th St. south to Brentwood trail.

Greenbelt Park

The 1,100-acre PG County park is open all year. No entrance fee! it offers camping, nine miles of trails, and three picnic areas. 

​

The campground is known to be affordable, safe and  tranquil. Campers must pay for sites via the online reservation system.

​
