Mosquito Control 2026 in
Town of North Brentwood
North Brentwood is participating in the cooperative mosquito control program with the Maryland Department of Agriculture this year!

Larviciding (spraying) runs through September/early October

Once per week, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm.

A few facts:

The Dept of Agriculture is unable to spray when temperatures are over 90 degrees, if winds are above 10 mph, or if it's raining.

The comprehensive program manages the mosquito population from larvae to adult stages. Read the letter sent to homeowners.

The chemical (Permanone 30130) used to spray via ultra high volume air and poses very little threat to most people and pets.

This formulation is at the lowest possible toxicity level possible still effective in the control of adult mosquitoes. It's an EPA-approved chemical solution used for the past 10 years.

Mosquito-breeding Prevention Tips

Flush birdbaths and containers under potted plants at least twice a week.

Properly dispose of old/unused tires.

Keep roof gutters and downspouts clean.

Turn over wheelbarrows, canoes, pails, trash can lids, and any other objects that may hold water (including items stored under decks and porches).

Repair dripping outdoor faucets, and draining water from tarps and grill covers.
